Long story short, three years ago I decided I wanted to do something new and explore somewhere new. I lived in Pennsylvania for eighteen years and upon graduation, I was ready to get out of the snow and check out schools in Florida. When I arrived at the University of North Florida, I knew. The campus was beautiful, the student size was perfect, and having the beach ten minutes away wasn’t too bad either. So I packed up my little car and made the trip to the Sunshine State.
My freshman year I went through sorority recruitment because I wanted a chance to get to know more people. Greek life introduced me to so many people, helped me form connections and embrace leadership. From here, I attempted to get involved in any and everything the University and Jacksonville has to offer. I started giving campus tours and joined organizations like Student Government, the Advertising Club and the Center for Student Media, the Spinnaker. Today, I am serving on the Executive Board for the Panhellenic Council where I help oversee and promote the five chapters on campus. I am also currently the President of the Advertising Club.
Jacksonville has made it possible for me to intern downtown where I worked in marketing and advertising for McDonald’s. I also served as a marketing intern for a small company. Today my new identity is #FaithTheIntern for the UNF Admissions Marketing and Communications team!
